I was looking through some of my links and found one to a guest post I did for Life Optimizer a while back on “happiness”.
I wrote about the happiest – most joy-filled experience I’ve ever had (well – had them a lot of times). The phenomenal bliss around Jhana 1.
I think you’ll find it interesting.
I tried hard to describe the experience in words – but of course – words pale in comparison to the real deal.
Since I began meditating in 1996 I have talked with many people who have started meditating. Hundreds. I’ve had hundreds of emails from other people, and comments here on Jhana8.com from hundreds more.
Hardly anyone has made it into the first Jhana.
I can see clearly why that is, I’m not surprised at all.
When I had the first Jhana, it was mysterious alright. I hadn’t a clue there even was such a thing. That was the power of my ultra-simple meditation program that removed all religion and all extras from it. It just came naturally. Then Jhanas 2-8 came too as I kept letting go of each experience.
You can have Jhana too. I’m sure of it.
What do you need?
You just need perseverance. Well, that and having a good process.
Meditation can be super simple and once you know what to do, all there is left is to do it.
Meditation need not be complicated.
We complicate it by talking to others about it and questioning whether we’re doing it right.
Please contact me so I can put you on the right path.
You might need coaching. You might need a $5 book. You might need an hour of talking back and forth to problem solve what is going on in your practice.
It isn’t any harder than that.
