These are some of my core meditation books I have for students at Amazon at the moment. This list changes constantly, so you may or may not see the book you want for sale at Amazon. If you don’t see it as available, let me know and I can process it for you. I have access to PDF and EPub files you can read on your compueter, tablet, or phone.

All of my books are written without Buddhism or any other religion. What I mean is, you won’t be overwhelmed with Pali language terms that you have to struggle to remember. Nor do I cover any of the nonsense like superstitions integral in Buddhism or other religions.

Meditation for Beginners – Secrets for Success is a much more comprehensive meditation book that should be read after “A 22-Day Course” above. This book is filled with information that will be helpful in guiding beginners and very established meditators who are unsure of their path and who would like to get on track again.

The current cover is yellow, we swapped it out a short while ago. This orange is just too harsh!

Recommeded for: Beginners and those who have meditated for months or years and who need to clarify their path.

Mindfulness for Beginners is an essential starter book for those interested in taking their simple meditation to another level. Mindfulness goes hand in hand with meditation, and what IS meditation except being totally focused on and mindful of the breath or the tingling of the breath in the nose? Mindfulness helps to bring us away from the past and future, locking us into the ever-present moment.

101 Curious and Bizarre Meditation Experiences is filled with the most bizarre occurences during meditation that you can imagine. The mind is powerful enough to shock you with some of the experiences that come from simple meditation on the breath.

This book is filled with colorful meditative art from a Thai artist similar to the cover image. This is one book we wish more people would take a look at, because knowing what can happen will better prepare you to let it go and ignore it. You won’t have near as much fear arise during sitting after reading this book because you’ll see it’s all harmless.

Recommended for: Anyone who seems to have odd experiences during meditation that they wonder if anyone else ever had. You’ll love this book!

Advanced Deep Jhana Meditation Books

Deep Jhana: Total Ego Annihilation book by Vern Lovic, available at Amazon.

Deep Jhana: Total Ego Annihilation book. This one is full of direct experiences of the deep Jhana states of mind that few people are talking about. Monks generally do not talk about them. Why? Primarily because they’re not reaching them. Secondarily because they’re told not to. Why? To keep them a mystery? To hide the secrets from the rest of the secular world? Not to be seen bragging? Buddha bragged plenty, if you want to take it in that context. He didn’t shut up about what happened. Why do the monks of today? To be honest, I think the answer is that only a very small percentage of Buddhist monks today could even describe the first Jhanas from their own direct experience.

Recommended for: Someone who wants to throw away the world of the known and dive headfirst into emptiness, non-duality, meaninglessness, and bewilderment. The journey is not for the faint.
