Deep Jhana Meditation – the Udemy Course

I’ve been working off and on to create a Deep Jhana Meditation Course at Udemy. I think the value I can give through hours of video in a course like this is worth more than an hour meditation coaching call for $28. I can also reach more people. There will also be less ambiguity. I notice that I vary slightly what I say to people on coaching calls. This video course will be as accurate as I can make it, and everyone will get the same message.

At the moment it is over 2 hours long, and it looks like we’ll reach 3 hours in length for the complete Jhana Meditation Video series.

Approximate Date of Release: 30 November 2025

Sure, some people will still need coaching, or to ask a question every now and then. Anyone who gets the course can ask a question through email, just like anyone who reads one of my meditation books, can do that as needed.

I am not sure whether this will replace the idea I have about holding Meditation Retreats here in Southern Thailand. It may or may not!

I need to get feedback from people who’ve gone through it and then I’ll figure out what makes sense.

Having a lot of information in one place that someone can go anytime to repeat the info is really efficient way to learn and have that resource available anytime. Once you finish a course at Udemy, you can go back and watch it over and over if you like.

I do think that some people will get a lot from an in-person meditation retreat, but we’ll have to see how it goes.

I know that books are not enough. I wrote those books years ago and there are things I’d say differently now. The sales have dropped off over the years. I think a new video course focusing specifically on the Deep Jhanas is a good idea right now.

What do you think?

Pricing will probably be about the same as it is for an hour of online coaching – around $28. Does that work for you?

The possibility also exists at Udemy to create FREE courses, but they must be under 2 hours long. I can’t possibly fit an entire course in there for 2 hours, but I could do another one later and make it free – just touching on the major points. That would help some people and provide an alternative to the abysmal course that is free there now on Jhana. Sorry, but that course made me realize how important it is to get my course up there.

I will make a free course under 2 hours, but this complete Deep Jhana Meditation Course will be first.
